Overnight Oats. Probably my favorite breakfast of all times. Why? Because it's so incredibly easy to make, delicious AND healthy. Plus, it's a real life-saver when you're running short on time in the mornings.
If you’ve never heard of overnight oats before, let me give you a quick little intro:
It's a no-cook method of making oatmeal – so instead of cooking your oats with liquid on the stove, you simply combine oats with liquids and other add-ins, and let it rest in the fridge overnight to soak up all the goodness.
It will turn into a creamy pudding-like porridge that is perfect for busy mornings as you can simply grab it and go out the door.
We love to stir in any of our 7 functional mixes for some extra nutrition and we've been doing it for all our breakfast and brunch events recently. Everybody has been loving it so far and we figured it's about time to share the love with you!
Our go-to base is simply oats soaked with some form of liquid (we go for almond milk most of the time), some sweetener (dates, maple syrup,...) and optionally other seeds (chia, sunflower,...), nuts (walnuts, almonds, peanut butter...) or fruit you like. Then we let our customers choose their favorite mix and add some toppings. Boom! Breakfast is served! So easy :)
If you don't want to wing it, we've put together our favorite overnight oat recipes (below).
Tip: Overnight oats keep well in the refrigerator for up to five days – make them on Sunday night, and you’ll have a healthy breakfast ready every day for the whole workweek!
P.S. Did you know that we donate life-saving food bar for every mix we sell? Help us make the world a healthier and happier place :)
