Who doesn't love a hearty bowl of porridge for breakfast (and even dinners sometimes!)? Nothing warms the body faster than a hot porridge - especially when it's a slightly spicier one, just like the one here that contains a full serving of Golden Mellow mix.

 

The warming flavours of cinnamon, turmeric and ginger combine themselves beautifully with the oats and banana for a simple yet mouth-watering porridge recipe.

 

What's more, you will also benefit from the ashwagandha, an Ayurvedic herb that reduces stress naturally and will put you in an almost zen-like state.


There may not be any rainbows with this pot of gold, but it guarantees you’ll start your day feeling relaxed.

Turmeric Cinnamon Porridge

SERVES 1 | VEGAN, GLUTEN-FREE


Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp Golden Mellow mix
  • 200ml water
  • 100g oats
  • handful chopped dates
  • 2 tbsp shredded coconut
  • ½ banana, sliced
  • toppings

Directions:

  1. Combine all of the ingredients (except the Golden Mellow mix) in a small pot.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring often to prevent burning or sticking.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the Golden Mellow mix.
  4. Pour into a bowl and add toppings, if desired, and serve.
