Whatever it is, this recipe for avocado chocolate mousse will satisfy any sweet cravings.
Maybe you know the original chocolate mousse with lots of cream for which you have to melt the chocolate, let it infuse for hours etc… that can quickly turn chocolate indulgence into chocolate stress! For this avocado chocolate mousse however, you only need 4 (plant-based!) ingredients and you can even make it without any equipment (which doubles as an arm workout ;)).
And yes, the base is indeed avocado! By the way, did you know that avocado is a berry? Maybe with that in mind you'll find it easier to put it in a sweet dessert.
Avocado has a relatively neutral taste, which is easily masked by the cocoa powder, and gives the necessary creaminess. Oh, and of course it's full of healthy fatty acids, so this dessert is really healthy but psst!
Instead of melting the chocolate, you can simply add our Magic Mushroom mix. It combines premium cocoa powder with fine cinnamon, adaptogenic roots and functional mushrooms that can have a calming effect on the nervous system. Recipe: Easy Avocado Chocolate Mousse
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- 6 tsp Magic Mushroom mix
- 1 ripe avocado
- 2-3 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp coconut cream
Directions:
- Place all of the ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
- Chill in the fridge and serve cold.
Super Tip: No blender? No problem! Just mash the avocado with a fork before adding the remaining ingredients.
