Protein Banana Bread


Banana bread – everybody loves it! It's just perfect to bring with you and eat on the go. Just grab a few slices and you're out the door! Why not make a version thats higher in protein to have something delicious as a post-workout snack.

We used our Plant Protein mix which is made of pea protein, rice protein, maca root, lucuma and banana powder, and came up with this mouthwatering loaf of vegan and gluten-free banana bread!


  • 75g Plant Protein mix
  • 75g almond flour
  • 75g quinoa flour
  • 10 small dates
  • 3 small bananas
  • 2 tbsp. melted coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed
  • 1 tsp. baking power
  • 1 tbsp. coconut oil
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt


  • 50g finely chopped walnuts
  • 25g raisins
  • 2 tbsp. almond butter


  • Preheat your oven to 150°C.
  • Mix the ground flaxseeds with two tablespoons water and allow to sit for at least five minutes.
  • Mix the soaked dates, flax seeds, salt, banana, quinoa flour, almond flour and
  • Plant Protein mix in a bowl.
  • Add the melted coconut oil and continue stirring.
  • Optional: stir in the almond butter, chopped walnuts and raisins.
  • Apply coconut oil to the tray before filling it with the mixture and putting it in the oven. 
  • Check at 20 minutes, then at 30, and depending on your oven it might take 40 minutes before the Banana Protein Bread is ready.
  • Let it cool down a bit before eating or slicing.
  • Enjoy! 

SUPER TIP: You can also use different flours such as chickpea, brown rice or buckwheat flour.
